You’re going to have issues when you braid the dread and due to the poor quality of it, your hair will get tangled with the synthetic one and when you install or take the dreads out, you really risk damaging your hair pretty badly.While the dreads look very great, I don’t think the synthetic hair is a great choice for them, since it’s very slippery, thus it won’t last that long.I know you’re supposed to secure them tightly, but not to the point where you tear your own scalp apart, really. Then again, if you braid too tight, you might break your own hair, which is not very good either. If you look at the way the middle of the dread is made, you are going to understand that if you don’t braid the dread really tight in your hair and you let it loose, you will have small uncomfortable lumps in your head which are really going to bother you the whole time you wear them.So that’s a big plus.ĭisadvantages that I’ve faced using this product: They are really thin and not so heavy and if you braid them well, you won’t even notice they’re there.I added some elastics, but you can buy more interesting stuff, like metal cuffs or any other type of hair rings.
